Affordable Housing Supply: The Australian Government will provide $30 million for projects in partnership with community housing providers to deliver new dwellings. This will be supported by a package of measures to drive urban renewal, including commencing a program of precinct planning for priority areas to speed up the delivery of housing. Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor: The Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor is a priority area for urban renewal. A greater diversity of housing solutions will be encouraged along the corridor. As well as providing housing outcomes, this will support the delivery of the most effective public transport solution, reduce congestion and the Australian Government will invest $25 million as part of its congestion initiative.
